i have just formatted my computer then i installed my various drivers but unfortunaltely my sound driver cd was lost.then i tried to find my sound driver in the net but i couldn't find.
my sound chip vendor is:
intel corporation
and my sound chip is:
82801G(ICH7 Family) high definition audioso will any one kindly help me finding the driver.thanx

no his sound chip is another one and mine is another.i dont think his chip software will work for mine.anyway thanx for trying to help

sorry but it didn't work.the link u have given to download has expired.u have given link for wdm_R225 but the link gives wdm_R226 for download.i downloaded it installed but it gives error message while installing.
so what should i do now?

... maybe that is the one he used ... he does not state

i did download the wdm_r166.rar and installed too.but while installing it gives error message.

i did downloaded the astra and checked my sound chip model.i am right the model number is same.i haven't done the mistake neither did you.just the link for wdm_r225 has broken.

... its a direct download... you may have to click top bar on your browser to allow download ... I just tried + downloaded it!

i tried your given link to download R225 but it is not R225, it is R226 which i downloaded but it didn't work for my sound card.
may be i have done some mistake can i get direct link address.sorry to bother u

... you might have to uninstall the audio driver from control panel "add remove programs" ....reboot.. then install the other stuff "FIRST" ...then reinstall the driver you'll have to experiment as to which one... spoon feeding stops here!

thanx for you great help.sorry but it didn't work.then i ordered my motherboard cd from another city, formatted my computer and installed the driver and and it worked.i think the driver you have told would have worked if i had formatted my pc once again before installing because without formatting my computer when i tried to install driver from that cd, it also showed the same error as before driver have shown.then i contacted that computer expert through whom i had bought the cd, he suggested me formatting my computer once again and installing the driver once again which i did,then the driver worked in my computer.
so once again thanx for your great help.
