Hello.

I am trying to rebuild a friend's HP Pavilion 6343 desktop mini-tower that crashed recently. Unfortunately, the recovery CDs while present were crushed in a move, and all I have is the original product key and an OEM W98SE install CD. The W98SE install went perfectly, no hitches, hesitations or glitches to speak of.

The problem, of course, is with the drivers. I have nothing for the computer as far as drivers go - the sound and the video are the main things, but it would be nice to have everything. HP wants money (naturally) to replace the cds if that were even possible for this old of a model, but all it's needed for really is like a typing and cd playing machine, so all the "applications" and everything it came with are kinda unnecessary as OpenOffice.Org has everything they need for 'software' suites.

Can anyone help with this project? As for like identifying parts and everything else?

Many thanks,

Zach
