I have an all in one laserjet. But, I cannot get the scanner to work. I have misplaced the software for it. And the driver I download from HP does not work for the scanner. I can print to it just fine. But, when I press scan it does nothing. Any suggestions?

Hi TimBob.

You can order a replacement CD with the software on the same webpage where the drivers are.

The cd probably has scanning software which is different than printer drivers.

Order software CD -

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?locale=en_US&lang=English+%28US%29&pnameOID=72628&prodSeriesId=66359&prodTypeId=18972&basePartNum=lj1244&locBasepartNum=lj1244mu&os=Microsoft+Windows+XP&tech=CD-ROM+order+page

Also - after you get the CD download the update for the software. It fixes issues with faxing and scanning etc.

The original CD software is from 2002 while the update is from 2004.

You need to install the original CD software first or the update won't work.

Take care,

Linda

HP wanted $10 for the cd. which I thought was pretty lame. So, I dug deep and found my cd. Now everything works. I thought it was pretty poor on HP's behalf that you cant download the drivers. But, thanks for the help.

Cheers
TimBob

Thanks, I'd appreciate that!

Just FTP to 67.183.17.226, log in using hp3300cd as the username and pwd, and put it right in the home directory.

Has anyone been able to put this CD somewhere where I could get it? Or could anyone burn a copy and mail it? Any way to get this would be very beneficial. Thanks.

Please email waityn4jc@yahoo.com
