I recently bought an LCD display. You might not know this, but LCD displays are best at low refresh rates, like 60Hz. However my (Geforce 2 MX) video card is poor at this rate. I tweaked the rate up to 62Hz using the Powerstrip shareware, which solved the problem for me, but don't want to buy the software just for that. Anyone know how to set the rate at 62Hz (or whatever) without extra software, in Windows 2000?

Goto the control panel, click display, click adjustment and then click refresh rate.
Hope this helps.

I know how to use the Control Panel already thanks - the trouble is 62Hz isn't in the list of supported refresh rates.

There must be some way of doing this without buying Powerstrip?
