| I recently replaced my hard drive on my Hp Compaq nc6400 to a 320Gb WD Scorpio blue sata hard drive, now my problem is I need to format it to windows xp pro, and in order for xp to reconize it i need to install the the Intel(R) 82801GBM SATA AHCI Controller (Mobile ICH7M) SCSI driver, and the problem with that is that it requires a floppy drive to install it, so far i have tried an external usb floppy drive, and intergrating the drive into windows xp setup with nliteos. Now i have installed xp into my laptop by disabling sata native mode but the problem is i cant put my mass storage driver in. So it is possible that I didnt integrate the drive properly with nliteos or possibly i have the wrong driver but im really getting frustrated. My second question would be what is the advantage of having the SCSI driver, the mass storage driver and sata native mode enabled? Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated. And if you need more in depth info just ask. Thx |
