Subject: help with drivers for PCI devices?
OS: win98se
CPU/Ram: intel inside Pentium 3 12
Comment:

hello, I recently formatted my PC because it broke. I have now re installed windows and i am experiencing a few problems. My screen size wont go bigger then 640x480, and my sound doesn't work. When I got to "add new hardware" in the control panel my computer dectects these things...

PCI Multimedia Audio Device.
PCI Network Controller.

I need the driver files for these things. I looked inside my computer (Tiny TI440BXM) and saw some cards with information on :

VGA (I'm guessing this is the graphics/monitor card?)

these are the numbers I found on the card.

0040042100999
1290A-40M
99341 002

My monitor is a Tiny 17" Colour Monitor Model : M-T7F22TY-U

Then I saw another card which wasnt labeled, but I'm guessing again that it might be the sound card. here are the numbers on this card:

1218N002676
18BI106392
E06
P/N 8530249

The speakers that I have are Altec Lansing Multimedia Comuter Speaker System. ACS41

That is all of the information I have as of now. If anyone could give me any pointers on how to get more information or is this all the info I need to get the drivers? My OS is Win98se. Can someone Pease help me to get my computer back to normal again, thanks in advanve.

Callum

http://www.tiny.com/support/ is actually quite a good site. It allows you to identify your hardware using the numbers on the chips etc. You should find everything there that you need

Cheers mate
