Hi
Let us know your model; motherboard specs and as your now asking, someone here can point in the right direction.
Useful info can be found free by bringing up the Device Manager [right click My computer click properties] Go to system. expand. You should see lines with pentium or similar. There should also be some lines with numbers in them [represent MB chips] Post [a copy of the lines] this info back and someone can help you much better.

Hey thanks, It is a gateway 2000, pentiumII, 64.0 MB RAM, win98 SE, ok I went to the Device Manager and the only thing I saw with pentium was this. Intel 82443LX/EX PentiumII Processor to AGP controler, and Intell 82443LX/EX PentiumII Processor to PCI bridge
