Comment: my dvd drive has been playing up lately. its terrible when playing dvds, it sometimes freezes, it skips. its unwatchable. also sometimes it takes a few attempts to actually open the cd tray. i dont think theres anything blocking it. ive tried finding a driver for it but i cant sinse i cant find the exact model of the drive anywhere. HELP PLEASE!!!!

Reply: (edit)I don't think a driver is your answer - by the sound of it your DVD is having mechanical problems. Anyway, to find out the model, best way is to remove it from the case & look at the label - at the same time give it a little shake to see if anything sounds loose & then spend £30 on a new one.
