I had Windows Me and the scanner Genius ColorPage Vivid Pro II Film working ok. When I switched to Windows XP I just installed the Windows 2000 drivers and the scanner is working ok.
Genius answered to me that they dont have plan to develop Windows XP drivers for this scanner.
