I have a Acer H213H monitor running on Windows XP SP2 with an
Nvidea GeForce 7600 card. The problem is that the screen blinks every 60 seconds.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

... have you tried altering the "refresh rate"?
... right click desktop click properties> settings (tab) advanced> monitor (tab) ... under monitor settings ...drop down

Thanks, but it is set to 60 Hertz, and I can't change it, as there is only this one rate.
Screen goes off 2 seconds every minute like clockwork. The generic driver may not be enough for this monitor.
It happens no matter what my resolution, or which monitor cord (high res or plain VGA) I use.
It disappears if I watch DVDs with PowerDVD which has its own drivers, I believe.
I will probably just play with the Nvidea settings, and see what happens.

... just to make sure
... download this: http://www.astra32.com/download.htm
... install, and post back video chip details here

Thanks again for your help.
Acer said it was a power drainage problem, which
it most definitely is not, as it works fine on Vista.
In any case, their procedure didn't work on XP.Astra22 program yields the following for the video:

It is. I have uninstalled, then installed the lastest NVidea 7600 GS driver.
That didn't do the trick. But I am thinking there is something fishy about my PnP monitor driver.
Also, I keep getting the same Windows file considered spyware, generated from somewhere.
