if any one wants frimware update for their philips CDD4401/71 for windows XP just go to compaq and download SP20617. it will include the frimware update so the 4401 will work with windows XP. it says it for a different model but after you download it and run it you will see it has the update for the 4401. Iam just useing the windows drives and this firmware update and I can use the nero software without geting the power cal error.
