Hello, my 1394 peripheral device is not recognized by Windows.
My camera (Samsung SC-D382) acknowledges that it has been connected to the Firewire port by making a noise, but whenever I try to load the video using a capture program (I've tried WinDV, Windows Movie Maker, Ulead VideoStudio, and Nero) it just gives me an error message saying that it can't find the video device.
My conclusion is that Windows is just not recognizing the FireWire card (installed while the computer was off). I was thinking it's possible that I didn't insert the Firewire card correctly into the PCI slot, but I double-checked it and it looks okay.
Can anybody help?

... you could try reinstalling the driver
