Hi,
I bought a 500GB SATA with external case. when I connect to my laptop with usb calbe, my computer can find the driver, but no icon of the driver in "my computer". did it mean that the hhd no working or need to format it?

If you're using Windows XP, right-click on "My Computer", select "Storage", "Disk Management" and see if shows up there. If you have a memory card reader, you might have to scroll down to Disk 5 to see the external USB hard drive. Create a partition, format, etc.. as needed.
