I have a Dell Inspiron 8600. I am having trouble getting on to my network because the ethernet controller is not installed. I have tried using the Drivers and utilities Disc but no driver found there. The network adapter is installed but there is a yellow question mark at the Ethernet controller in the Hardware Device Manager. Can I get some urgent help please. Thanks

If you have onboard ethernet the drivers should be on the Mobo./Chipset drivers installation disc. If they are not ascertain what Mobo./Chipset you have and download them from the manufacturer. If you have installed a card then the same applies as for above, usually XP recognises and installs PCI Ethernet cards. HTH Mathew
