Comment:
hi, i have recently purchased an IrDA USB adaptor, the box says 'Edinsoft Es620' then it also says 'MA620 compatible ES620' so i arent sure which model nbumber it is.

but anyway....

i put the cd-rom in to install the drivers and when i do it says that the drivers have been copied to the system and that i need to restart my system and then insert the adaptor into a USB slot once it has loaded again so that the installation can finish.

but once i have done this, a bubble pops up in the bottom right corner of the screen saying 'USB device not recognized' and that it has malfunctioned.

so i went into the device manager and found it as 'Unknown Device' and when i click on it it says that no drivers are installed!!

so i press update driver to search the disk again and it says that no drivers newer than the ones already installed couyld be found, but it says there isnt any!

and the device still isnt working!

can anybody help me please????

One of two things are happening: the driver is corrupted or your port is damaged. Try to request a new copy of the driver from the manufacturer. If the device still doesen't work, the port might be damaged. Get it inspected at a computer store somewhere.

As to your model number confusion, it is probably "Edinsoft Es620." The cmpatability just means that it works similarly to the other ones.
