I get an error message when I try to install my Cruzer Micro Thumb drive on my WIN 98SE laptop. I went to Cruzer and did the download for the Micro drive and installed it. I then go to look for the drive after a restart and it is not there. I look at the "Add New Hardware", it shows it as added but says the drivers are not there. I go back to the Zip file I downloaded and try to open them but get the following error. "WinZip cannot open C:\Windows\Desktop\Cruzer_Famly_98SE\data1.cab because it is not the standard Microsoft CAB format (as defined in mid-1998). The "signature bytes" required by the Microsoft CAB Specification are missing." I also get this same error when I try to open the data2 Cab files. I uninstalled and downloaded the files again and get the same error.

Need help as my desktop is toast.

thanks
v/r
Darren

Those sorts of CABs are typically part of an installation program, and have to be installed

I'm not one of those who think Bill Gates is the devil. I simply suspect that if Microsoft ever met up with the devil, it wouldn't need an interpreter.
