dvd drive letter gone

Ok my daughter , she went into the bios or something and deleted the d drive yaya you are ohhhh,, i know i have read and reserched some of the postings and have done what was said and how to do it , nothing , i has the dvd listed with an x ( red ) on it but no drive letter, now this comp dosnt have a 3.5 drive either but will recognize a flash drive ect. just need some info or directions on how and what to get in to strighten it out, thanks

hi!
if you are sure that you're daughter manage to enter ng BIOS and reconfigure something there.
1.) enter BIOS again by pressing DEL/F1 (depends on the motherboard) 2.) once inside the BIOS, go to STANDARD 3.) then make sure all the driver (Master,Slave...) are in detecting in AUTO mode.
