OS: ME
CPU/Ram: AMD Athlon/512 RAM
Comment:
I installed a DVD-R and when I booted the system halted and said it would replace my IDE drivers with compatibilty mode. Now none of my CD drives appear in My Computer and the Primary and Secondary IDE controllers in Device Manager say the correct drivers are not installed or they are faulty. I am not sure of the model of my CD-RW or CD-ROM but is there a generic CD-ROM driver I can download just to get CD read function so I can install my DVD-R?
