I have had my computer for 4 yrs.(my 1st computer @ 59,) How can I tell which drivers need to be updated & how & when to do it? My MOBO is: Abit AA8 3rd eye, NEC DVD RW ND-3500AG[cd rom drive],Seagate barracuda 320gb sata 7200rpm, Maxtor One Touch 200gb(for backups), Lite-on DVD SOHD-167T [cd-rom drive], Geforce Nvidia 6600 (215) video card, Realtek HD onboard 7.1 Audio,Epson R-800 printer, Epson perfection 4990 scanner, Samsung SyncMaster 910T monitor... Thank You

Is your system running fine? If you are not having any problem with anything leave it alone. Personally I have had nothing but problems trying to use newer drivers with older epuipment. You always hear 'make sure you have the latest driver' to make sure system is running at it's peak. To me, the original driver that came with the unit is the optimal one. There are many who disagree with this. But after updating many a driver in my day, I've either not noticed a differnce or had to roll back because of some problem with the new driver. Bottom line? Be conservative, if your system is running fine and you are happy......let all the driver hype pass you by.....
