Hi, i formated H.D & reinstalled win 98SE.Every thing looks fine EXCEPT when i listen to music from H.D ,the internet (mp3) or when chating with others (noise,hard to xplain it,statics or interference)NO other devices are close to speakers .The strange thing is that when i listen to a cd,it works fine no noise at all.Any advice, Thaks

What kind of CD you listening to? Is it analog (regular music CD) or mp3 (digital). If it is a regular music CD, I would suspect your audio drivers or settings, other stuff, such as HD, chat or mp3 are digital sources.
