I recently installed a radeon graphics card, 9600se(I think) and disabled the onboard video. When I click on the device manager to see if the Viewsonic Drivers for the viewsonic monitor were installed, they weren't. What was installed was a "generic monitor". I uninstalled the drivers amd monitor and rebooted hoping that Windows would find the correct drivers but they would not and reinstalled the same generic driver. I tried to update driver by rightclicking on mouse and sending them to the Viewsonic driver file but it still will not recognize the Viewsonic monitor. I didn't seem to have this problem with my old onboard graphics card. Is the difference in drivers all that important, or just subtle, since the picture on the monitor looks fine. What am Idoing wrong on the update!
