I want to upgrade from ME to XP but i'm led to believe that I have to upgrade my SmartRiser 56 voice modem driver, can I install XP and somehow make XP accept my original ME drivers?Any help would be great Thank You!

Hi Everyone, Can anyone pls. tell me how to install the cdrom device on a windows 95 computer. All I have is the physical cdrom plugged into the cpu(Its an old computer). I want it to be running. The physical cdrom is not listed by the device manager.

I have had the same problem with the Smartriser modem. I installed XP about 2 months ago, but it has since become unstable so I have re-installed. I have managed to get the smartriser to work with the ME driver. But I cannot remember what I did the first time around. I will try again this weekend and let you know the result.
