Thank you for your reaction. I seem to have the driver you mention but I'm not sure where it is on my laptop or how to make it come alive. I did say that I was VERY nontechy. One problem could be that the system does not recognise the parallel port that I am trying to use. In principle, the port is on a Targus docking station. All other bits of the docking station work well but I am unsure if the parallel port is being recognised. ???? HELP ??? Regards, Bob
