I am having major troubles installing Windows 2000. I have a CMD649U controller so I can access the 33Gb to 45Gb part of my 45Gb IBM disk. It keeps on bringing up a blue screen and a message "INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE"... even in safe mode, and sometimes just 2 minutes into the installation. I have been able to get Win 98 installed but it is a bit unstable as well.
Is there a way to install the driver during the setup process. The manual says I don't need to but I am not sure about this anymore.
I am seriously thinking of taking out the controller and having to sacrifice the extra space so I can actually use my PC reliably.
If anybody has been having a similar problem please let me know, especially if you have found a way to fix this. Thankyou in advance. E-mail me at richard.m@optusnet.com.au
