Comment:

I have a new canon camera that is plug and play. I have installed all of the relevant software, run xp (as requested) and have service pack 3 (two is requested).

When I plug the camera in via usb the pc picks up the camera but warns that the hardware was not installed fully. After this I can see it as installed in harware manager but the camera does not come up as a removeable device and I can't drag out files.

Other devices are detected and used via the same usb. The camera / usb cord work fine on other pc's with same os. No drivers on the ccanon site and Canon say they can't help any further. Any ideas?

Thanks for your help -
