Comment: After I ran the setup obtained from 3com’s website. It asks where it should search for drivers from … but it won’t find any on any of the diskettes I had downloaded ... (I downloaded 3 disks from 3com, fem56bn2.exe, fem56bx1.exe, fem56bx2.exe) … actually my win98se says I have a 3CCFEM556BI card not a 3CCFEM556B but there on 3coms website (www.3com.com) there isn’t mentioned any 3CCFEM556BI.

Reply: (edit)Hm for some strange reason is the drivers for 3CCFEM556B-AP the correct drivers ... I hope this will help someone like me out there. So the correct files to download is (fem56ix1.exe and fem56ix2.exe). I got some errors when running disk#2 but that was just when copying some *.txt files so that won't make any difference.

I was having the same problem.
Since I spent so much time searching for the correct drivers, when I got the errors installing the "-AP" drivers I got frustrated and lost faith.
Then I found your comments and gave me the support I needed.
