i'm running,k7s5a motherboard,1.4 amd proc,GeForce2 mx pro video card. I just installed windows xp pro(clean install, not upgrade).Apparently it detected my sound card no problem and it works, Quality isn't as good as in 98se ( very faint static which is removed when i turn down sound hardware accel. to basic accel.)however i'm planning to upgrade sound card anyway. Good luck
