I'm seeking device driver backup software - freeware or purchase - to enable driver restoration after an OS reinstall.
A quick search brings up quite a few candidates and all read well - which may, or may not, be the case.
Not knowing anything of such products, I would appreciate any comments, advice, or experiences regarding same.

I've only tried a couple of driver back-up programs in the past & neither were 100% successful because they didn't take account of upgrades & drivers which were installed in more than one place. Now I simply make sure I can identfy all of the hardware in a system, either by physically checking or using AIDA & then create a CD with downloaded backups of all the most recent drivers - or copy them from the original disks. I then tape the CD inside the case so if/when I get it back & need the driver I have it to hand. Hasn't failed me yet.
