Deleted my CD-rom drive

I accedently deleted my CD-rom drive. I dont know how to reinstall it, and need help. I used recovery programs, but cant find the correct file. My CD-rom drive was a compaq DVD-ROM DVD-116. Any one have any idea how i can reinstall me E:\ drive ?!

to reinstall the drivers for you dvd-rom drive, just turn off the computer, and unplug the IDE cable, and power cable from the dvd-rom drive, turn the computer on, let windows load. then shut the computer down again, plug the IDE cable and power cable back into the drive. when windows oads, it should reinstall the drive itself. need help, email me at RTCGraBBerX@aol.com
