converting from nvidia to ati

i currently have a nvidia card but im getting a new ati to replace it. what steps should be taken to remove nvidias drivers fully? and also what drivers for ati should i use? im getting a radeon 9800

as far as i understand, when changing to a different manufacturer's card, you don't NEED to uninstall the old drivers, just install the ones for your ati card. if you still feel (on my often crappy advice) that you should remove the old driver, do so by going to the control panel then add/remove programs, your current driver will be listed as 'nvidia drivers' or something along those lines, remove the driver, then restart your computer. after that you are free to install your new driver. hope that helps.
