Black screen, keeps rebooting, can't run windows or in safemode.
Professional advice would be much appreciated. When switching on the computer I get the following message on a black screen:
We appologise for the inconvenience, but Windows did not start successfully. A recent hardware or software change might have caused this. If your computer stopped responding, restarted unexpectedly, or was automatically shut down to protect your files and folders... or if a previous startup attempt was interrupted ....
choose:
Safe Mode
Safe Mode with Networking
Safe Mode with Command Promt
Last Known Good Configuration
Start Windows NormallyWhen I choose either of the first 3 options, I get the following scrolls (of about 50+ lines that I cant read as they run too fast). The last 3 lines are:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS\System32\DRIVERS\NDIS.SYS
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS\System32\DRIVERS\TVALZ.SYS
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS\System32\DRIVERS\Mup.sysThen the computer restarts and back to the same page again. When I choose Last Known Good Configuration or Start Windows Normally, the computer just reboots. I tried running Windows XP but the CD wont run. I dont particularly care about this laptop but need all the saved folders and files as nothing is backed up. I am thinking the hard drive might be corrupt (although its not making any funny noices).
PLEASE HELP!!!

Could be RAM, try removing one stick at a time and trying to boot each time. It could be the power supply that's dying. If you have another spare somewhere, give that a try.

Its definitely not power suply.
How do I remove a power stick??So far I have tried to boot off of CD but its not working. Right before it shuts down a blue screen flashes with a message (had to take a pic as its too quick). message says:
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
UNMOUNTABLE_FOOT_VOLUME ( i think thats what it says)
If this is the first time that you've seen this stop error screen restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your harware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need.
If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software, disable BIOS memory options such as cashing or shadowing. if you need to use safemode to remove or dis....
then it cuts off and shuts down.
then it cuts off and shuts down.

Hi K2010,
if it happens allways at the same point it is almost sure that you have some critical windows system file corrupted in the hard drive,,
first of all check your bios setup to be sure that everything is ok.
then boot with an XP instalation CD and open the recuperation console,
then run CHKDSK /p, it will check and repair filesystem,, try to reboot.if not succesful do it again but CHKDSK /R it will perform a surface check and repair,, try to reboot.
if not succesfull, try checkmem64 (google) to be sure tha it is not a memmory issue before going more agressive.
mem is ok in at leas one pass..
start your windows CD get were it detects a windows installation an ask you to restore (R) or to install a new copy,, Do restore with de R key..
you will need the CD key and may ask you for some of the drivers you have installed..good luck
