Comment: i got a compaq contura 420c laptop that was give to me running win95, but can't get in the bios i know how and i know why the hd was fomated b 4 i got it and i need the setup disk for this but compaq.com does not work they have what i need. but it will not connect to download...sooo my ? is does anybody know another place i can get these..please email me and let me know....jdallas@bbtel.com

Reply: (edit)Try starting the computer and while the compaq screen is still up kill the power. This is a trick i use on my presario 1200 laptop and when you re-start (at least on my computer) it will bring you to a screen where you can either boot [F1] or enter bio[F10] or something like that.
