Hopefully someone can be of assisstance. I am searching for a driver(thought maybe reinstalling would help) for Compaq CD-ROM LTN403. All my attempts at locating one have been futile. Or is there a flash tool i can use for this driver? Device has power and shows up on device manager. Also says device is working properly, but evidently it is not LOL. Still running Windows ME on a Compaq Presario 5000T. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

I think the CDROMs with an LTN prefix are all Liteon branded. The drivers as such are just the generic Windows ones so they shouldn't be the problem. You can sometimes find firmware upgrades which require flashing, but I don't think you'll find a lot of support for older Liteon products. Personally I'd recommend swapping the drive out for another one & if that works ok consider investing in a new drive - they're reasonably cheap at the moment.
