i make the xp to find teh best driver for the card on the cd, and its working now.

they are C-Media type, did you try their WS?

Reply: (edit)both windows xp professional and xp home edition did not accept the original drivers i had for cmi8330. I tryed this drive in xp prof.- it was accepted and works fine - i'm listening a great brazilian cd now. Thanks

Reply: (edit)I went to www.cmedia.com.tw. Then downloaded the Win2000 driver. I unzipped it, and put it in the Windows\sound folder. Next I went to install new hardware. And completed the install. It works
