I know the way to let the driver for CMI8330 to support WinXP.
I am a Chinese Student,so my English isn't very well.
Go to the C-Media Download page, and download the CMI8330 driver for win95/win98/Me ver2.0,and download the driver for Win2k ver 4.17.When you get the zip files, let them unzip in the same document.Try WinXP Hardware installation.Let it search for the document, the windows will ask you the wrong, don't care, just install the driver.
after restart, you will find the 3 drivers are installed, but the last one can't be install at all.so delete it.(don't worry, this one is just for midi maker.it doesn't important for audio and gameplayers.)

Hello All,

After download CMI8330 driver for Win2k via http://www.cmedia.com.tw/e_dload1.htm#8330 and installed the driver on my Win2k. As start Win2k still says 'new hardware found - CMI8330 Audio Adapter', I still can't get the sound works, Any workaround?

Thanks,

Kevin
