Reply: (edit)Good luck trying to find a BIOS for this one... I have a remarked one called an "STLab Pro I/O Controller" It still has a 1.9.something BIOS, and I can't even find the beta you mentioned. CMD do not provide any kind of support to their users with these controllers, and when I follow their instructions to mail sales@cmd.com and have them recommend a course of action, I get no responce. Good luck trying to get it working with Linux, you could try third party ATA-100 patches, but the only *nix I've managed to get it to talk to is FreeBSD. Mine is extremely unstable in all opeating systems (even in windows, with drivers installed) Will

Reply: (edit)Silicon Image have a RAID bios for their (equivalent?) chip... at your own risk... http://www.siliconimage.com/products/sii0649.asp No idea how you load it. Note the restriction on the size of the eeprom needed.
