Comment: My CD-ROM will not read any CD that I put in it...I cannot play games, listen to music, or burn CDs with my E drive (ATAPI CD-RW 16/12/40X). PLEASE HELP ASAP

Reply: (edit)i think i took off my cd-rom drive because it says every time i turn on my computer that the drive isnt ready. it says to turn it on or set it. then it says press a to abort or r to retry. i have windowws 3.1. can you tell me how to turn it on

Reply: (edit)did u try to change the back of the rom to slave or master.they r called jumpers.maybe it might work not sure or try to uninstall it then try hooking it up again.
