Do you have the software for it ?
Did it come with an installation CD or DVD ?
Have you already installed the software for it, according to the manufacturer's directions ?
- MUST install at least some of the the software for the device BEFORE you first plug it into a USB port.
- DO NOT install drivers for it when Found New Hardware pops up.
The TV tuner must support the type of TV video signal you can connect to it.
In most if not all cases, the type of video signal you can connect to it these days is digital only, unless you have some box that can convert an incoming digital signal to an analog output, and connect that to the analog TV tuner card.
TV tuner adapters for computers have no built in amplifier that will amplify a video signal that is too weak like most TVs automatically do.
If your problem is the video signal is too weak for some or all incoming channels, you can but an inexpensive video amplifier like used for amplifying a cable TV signal to connect between the source and the TV tuner adapter.
