cd/dvd-rom missing

my cd/dvd-rom drive is missing in device manager it only shows up under hidden files an has unknown location in my acer management section it shows that i have no cd/dvd drive help anyone

i have tried system restore this does not work and my computer will not let me delete upper or lower filter keys it all happened after i performed a system restore and updated windows media player 10 to wmp 11
