hello to all that suvey these pages. my old man has an aspire 3000 notebook and recently the cd/dvd drive gave up the ghost. it's a slimline combo SOSC-2483k cd-rw/dvdrom drive and i tried deleating the registry entrys under {4D36895-E325-11C3-BFC1-08002BE10318. but i couldn't see lowerfilters and upperfilters so i just deleted anything that said cd or dvd. pehaps not the smartest move. anyway i cant see it now in my computer unless theres a cd in there but it still wont work.. iv'e used all my knowlage. is there a real doctor in the house? any help would be appreciated. thanx in advance.
