CD ROM driver

CPU/Ram: 2.93GHz 504MB
Comment:

"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)"

My CD drive is broken. It says I need a driver, but how can the driver be missing when it worked last week?
Please Help
