I got an ati graphic card. Rage 128 PRO AGP 4x TMDS. I've tried to update it by going to the ati website and downloading the patch. When i install it says that, "This display driver is not compatible with the display adapter(s) installed in your system." Am I missing anything for this update?

Don't know what to suggest, did you read

Updating ATI display drivers ,is apprently no easy process. I installed an ATI RADEON 32Mb SDR PCI Graphics card, my M.B. does not have an AGP slot .The graphics card works great ,however since I've installed it over 3 years ago ,I've wanted to update the display driver ,however the directions I've recieved from ATI support ,makes this a major operation. Frist of all ATI says you must frist uninstall the current display drivers B/4 installing the new drivers ! I also have the ATI TV WONDER USB Edition and it works great ,allowing me to veiw T.V. in a resizable box on my monitor or in fulll screen mode. Iam afriad that attempting the display driver update will mess this up ,since ATI support says I must also uninstall the TV Wonder and then reinstall it after the update. To top it off the ATI DVD player will not work with the ulti Mrdia Center for the TV Wonder. I have a copy of Intervideo DVD player ,so I use that .I mean can you believe that there own products wont work together ,yet a differant manufactuers DVD player will ? ati does have a statement saying un needed driver updates are not recomended ,in other words ,if it aint broke dont fix it ! So here Iam still using the originial drivers for my Graphic card !
Good Luck Nick
