i'm working on someone's computer here and i am doin a format and reinstall and i can't get the ethernet component to get recognized. It's an abit IL8 board with an integrated ethernet card. I tried the drivers on the main website and it's still not recognizing the hardware. Any ideas?

If so, and it still doesn't work, have you tried manualy installing the drivers. Which means going into Device Manager, selecting your ethernet card, updating the drivers and selecting the drivers you've downloaded from the site?
