recently installed CofD.Would not run as video card chipset does not have T&L capabilities.Running:
Device: SiS650_651_M650_M651_740
Chiptype: SiS650 REV00
Driver: SiSGRV.dll Version:6.14.0010.2200
Date: 10/07/2003 MiniVDD SiSGRP.Sys
DDI version 9.
Any way round this apart from buying new vid card??

Yes-you'd need to buy a graphics card (AGP or PCI). Same would go with other non T&L integrated graphics chipsets (execpt nForce/nForce 2 IGP).
