Hi, I have formatted my hard disk recently and re-installed OS. I have Burner: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4082B ... I reinstalled all my software and programs using the burner..the system works fine.. it even says the burner is working proplety .. It even reads and Plays music cd's... BUT when i put a DVD Movie in the drive to watch. wmplayer and Nero 6 Showtime player can't read it.. and its says, no dvd in the drive..Also if i put a DVD in the drive to to Rip it with DVDFAB it says the same thing.. there is no dvd in the drive. Why is it Not recognising the DVD placed in DVDRAM Burner? Is there a file missing.. it worked fine before. can anyone help me?

Hi again.. i install it, but still same problem... my system itself do tell me i do have a burner installed... and the burner works fine but still says there is no dvd in the drive.. any software disc or music cd's all read fine... the drive isn't recoizing DVD's

hi mavis007.. Thanks for your time... I install the cccp program..but still won't read my dvd's.. I wonder maybe if my burner can be bad?i find it weird that it reads everything else but dvd'z.\ Thank again for you help
