The TV Out function of my Radeon 9800 Pro no longer works. It has been working fine ever since I got it. Turning it on and off in the drivers control panel does nothing. I have rebooted several times as well. Also, my secondary monitor shows everything in a dark blue tint. It isn't the monitor (I checked it), it's the secondary output of the video card. It shows everything in blue from BIOS boot up all the way into Windows. I have never seen this before and I am rather stumped on how to troubleshoot this problem. Are these signs that something burned up on the video card or something? My primary display works just fine. Also, if i unplug the Secondary and TV cables from the video card and reboot, it still recognizes them both as if they were still attached. Any help would be great! Thanks in advance.

If your case is a mini or midsize tower.Consider an overheating card a possibility.if its a shuttle I would bank on an overheating problem. The stock fan and heat sink don't cool off the card enough in those cases.Do you have the second monitor and your primary and your TV all on at the same time.Try (1)primary with the 2nd monitor off.Set Primary monitor to 800by600 Res.and click the TV tab till its green, then click the bullseye lower righ of the TV.This should display what's on your monitor and tv the same res.the monitor refresh rate set at 75hertz.And if you updated the Catalyst Driver to the 4.12 some people have problems with that driver. You might want the 4.6 Driver.Or just do a renstall of your 9800 pro.If you do a reinstall.Remove all ATI display drivers.that insures a clean install.Hope this helps.

Allways remember my advice is just that. These are just helpfull hints.for Troubleshooting only.

Got the same problems, but only for TV out, secondary monitor is fine. My TV out is dark (Composite voltage should be max 1.5volts, but is down to about 0.5volts), and the TV is recognized as being connected though it's not.

Tried flashing bios to no avail. Contacted HIS support, they have not answered yet. I suspect a resistor somewhere in the tv out circuitry is shorted.

For me composite died first, while svhs worked, so try the SVHs output as well, andsee if it is dark too.

Good luck, and let me know if You solve the problem.
