i tried to enable the TV out feature on my ATI rage II+DVD an doesn't work, and i follow all the instructions, like adjusting
the screen resolution to 800x600 or lower,
make the connections to the TV (I tried with
composite and S-video connectors) before turned on the computer, setting the TV to
video input, and of curse, trying
with all the drivers i can get (old and enhanced drivers).sorry for my rude english, i am just a
17-year old colombian computer hobbiest
:-).

I have an ATI RADEON Graphics card and I also have the ATI TV WONDER USB Edition .I know what you are talking about , I was told by ATI that the Multi Media Centers that come with each device are differant version and wont work together. Can you believe they dont make their own software and drivers compatable with eachother. They told me I could install the DVD Player from my Graphics card only ,and not the MMC. However like you once I installed the DVD player it locked out my TV veiwing ability. I uninstalled the DVD player and the TV worked again .So I had a copy on WinDVD 2000, I installed that and was able to watch DVD again and my onscreen TV worked with that application ! If you know someone that has another DVD enabling software try that .Apprently other DVD software will work with ATI TV Wonder ,however not their own. Weird stuff, they should have their programmers talk to each other !
Good Luck ,Nick

i have a similar porblem. I have a laptop running ATI Radeon 9000M with tv out. When I connect it to the TV at 800x600 res, everythign works fine, untill i attempt to watch a DVD, or an AVI.
What happens is this. The player software loads onto the tv screen (as in I can see it), however, where the movie is supposed to play, I only see vlack, on my television, whereas, on my laptop it plays fine.
At the moment I'm using WMA, with ACE Mega Codecs pack. I have also tried other played, such as DivX, and Vidomi, and nothing seems to work.
Thanx in advance.
