Hi All,

I am having a problem with my TV-OUT card on my Radeon 9000. It seems when i connect it to the scart connection on the back of any TV that it projects in B/W (black & white), Has anyone else come accross this problem and if so have you had any look on repairing it. I tryed the setting under the monitor section of my card display and it had no effect. Can someone let me know any information they might have on this.

I've had that problem with my old video card. I forgot exactly how I fixed it but make sure you connected the cables properly to the TV and make sure the channel is set right. This may sound dumb but my sister's DVD player shows in B/W unless we change to the right Input.

The settings for your video card are set to Colour? Do you have the latest drivers for your video card?

Well my computer system is fully up to date with all new release drivers. So that is not the problem.

Also i have tried to connect it to both scard connectors on the TV and both are displaying in B/W.

So currently i know its not a Driver problem and its not a connector problem.

So if you or anyone else has any helpfull tips id like to hear them.

Seeing as how you've neglected to mention a possible settings problem, I'm going to emphasize on that. I've taken a snapshot of my own TV-Out settings showing a possible output to B/W. My question was never answered. Could this be what your problem is?

I do not have that display on my system, and also i have not come across anything that states B/W on the control pannel that i do have.

What version is your software for your video card? Just to make sure, download this:

https://a248.e.akamai.net/f/674/9448/0/dlmdownloads.ati.com/drivers/5-10_xp-2k_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_27256.exe

That's the ATI Control Panel with Catalyst Control Center. If you didn't have that, it means you don't have the latest drivers.
