ATI MACH 64 DRIVER

Nelo Baldovino August 24, 2001 at 06:35:04 Pacific

Can anyone out there help me! I need the driver for the video card ATI MACH 64. I cannot seem to get this video card to work. I've tried everything I can possibly think of to get this video card to operate. Maybe you can steer me in the proper direction. Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.

Nelo

Nelo,

Did you try contacting the manufacture? I am sure if you contact them they would be happy to direct you to the proper location to find their driver.

If not the above mentioned information sounds like it is a winner.

Good luck, I've been in your shoes more than once...

Since there are numerous models in the mach 64 series, you'll have to dig through this page a bit to match yours, but this THE drivers page for mach64 at ATI :

http://support.ati.com/products/pc/mach64/mach64.html

Once you picout your modell there will be lots of info available about it

You need to read the model number on the face of the ATI video card. Once you have the model number you can either call the manufacturer and they will give the driver file name so you can download the driver. Or do what most people do and go directly to the ATI website and look for the driver file yourself. You should have little or no problems once you have the model number of your Video Card.

Good Luck!

The ATI MACH VIDEO CARD is a real CHEAPY!

You might want to consider upgrading to one of the newer versions of ATI VIDEO CARDS capable of transfering video streams into your computer as well as out to your television or VHS recorder.

I have seen some of the ATI PRO 16 megabyte AGP cards for approx $85.00.

If this doesn't sound to appealing to you I suggest you download the driver from the ATI website.

Cheers!

If you are running Windows 98 operating system you may not have all the drivers for the ATI MACH 64 video card. If you can obtain a copy of windows 2000 or Windows Millenium, I think you might find the drivers already pre loaded in those programs. Other than that you will need to consult the maker of your video card.

The ATI MACH 64 VIDEO CARD may now be considered a cheapy but it was state of the art when it debut a few years back. If youstill have this video card on your motherboard fear not. Get the driver and enjoy your computer with this very capable video card. I would also have to suggest going to the win98 operating system CD for the video drivers required to install your video card properly. Remember to stop and smell the roses then install your viseo card.

Have a great day!

I would recommend sticking with the ATI MACH 64 video card. Contact the vendor and the rest will fall into place. I have three computers all with the ATI MACH 64 video card and I have absolutely zero problems. Don'twaste your money on the newer versions of the ATI video cards. All the best!

The ATI MACH 64 video card is an excellent but reasonably priced video card available to install on even the fastest of newer computers. I have one installed on my 1.3 GHz AMD Athalon personal computer and I must say that the video card performs flawlessly. I do have the 32mb version and I think the 8mb card may be adaquate, I just don't have one so I cannot say for sure. As far as drivers are concerned I am certain that you can download the files you need from the Internet. Try it and let us know how you made out. Good Luck!

I downloaded the driver from the Internet and it didn't work. I was so frustrated I gave up the ghost and bought a new video card and it is working now. Thanks for all of your concern and suggestions. I really appreciate the help.

So sorry to hear that you gave up on the ATI MACH 64 video card. I hate to say it but you probably did not install the driver properly. I can see no good reason why the video card would not operate properly. Have you checked with the manufacturer of your particular computer? Maybe they have some suggestions on getting your ATI MACH 64 video card up and running smoothly. I would at least try calling them one last time... CHEERS!

Nelo,

If you still have your ATI MACH 64 video card I might suggest installing it in possibly another computer if you have one. Like all the other respondents here the ATI MACH 64 video card is a very good card and I would not toss it out with yesterdays news. Anyway hope the card you replaced it with is working well for you.

Hey Kumar,

I struggled with the same problem described above. After ours of research I found a driver which supports Win95/98.

The best driver I've found for Ati Mach 64 is the driver which comes in Win 98 Second Edition. It just works... =)
