Hi :)

Recently my DVD player started going jerky and I've been reading up about PIO and DMA options.

When I open Device Manager and the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers list I get three controllers: two channel 0's and one channel 1.

Both 0's have the DMA box selected and say they're working to it. Channel 1 is causing me trouble though. When I hit 'advanced settings' there is nothing listed in the devices box, yet under 'general' it says this device is working fine.

Could this be the jerky playback cause - what's going on?

Any help appreciated :)
